I received a letter from ford in june of 2016 that one of the airbags in my car is defective. My car has a takata airbag which is known to severely harm or kill the occupant of the vehicle if the vehicle should be involved in an accident where the airbag is deployed. Takata recall ford issued a recall for my passenger airbag 1 year ago. There is still no remedy available for me to get my car fixed. I have called ford and ford dealers over and over but no resolution. I can have someone ride in the passage seat for fear of death with the airbag on or off. Takata recall was issued june 1, 2016 and the parts are still not available. The manufacturer is taking way too long to provide replacement parts. I have contacted every dealership within 50 miles and none of them have replacement parts. The nhtsa search also indicates that no replacement is available yet. This is extremely unsafe and a replacement needs to be issued immediately.

Ford edge recall on airbags was first issue on june 1st, 2016. It is no february 2nd, 2017, which is 8 months later, and no further information on fixing this defect has been mailed to us by ford. This is an excessive amount of time to remedy their defect so i'm placing a complaint for lack of responsiveness by ford.

My front passenger side air bag is half way out my indicator on my dashboard stay on cause of it and it was said that it can deploy at anytime so my kids and sometimes friend's and/or husband have to ride in the back cause they're afraid of the airbag might deploy.
