Door ajar light and alarm bells remain after the door is shut, even after repeated attempts to shut the door. The interior lights remain on which affects ability to see at night. The warning lights and alarms are distracting while driving. The door stays shut but there is no way to know if it is secure. The issue exists after attempts to repair it by a mechanic.

The driver door ajar sensor always says my driver door is open no matter how many times i close it. Because the car thinks the door is open i can't lock the car doors therefore i can't go anywhere. The sensor also makes the interior lights go on and they don't shut off. It makes it very dangerous driving at night. It just started happening after i started my car and left for work.

The faulty door closed switch and/or design is indicating the drivers side door is open when it is not. This issue is causing all the doors to remain unlocked while driving or unlock during driving if it goes off.
