2010 ford edge trasmission. After driving at highway speeds for about an hour and then come to a stop. When you start to go again the transmission feels like it goes to neutral and then slams into drive. Sometimes it takes less than a second to correct itself and sometimes its 2-3 seconds before it goes. It has happend almost every time we drive at highway speeds. Dealer cannot replicate the issue.

I've had the transmission violently engage while on highway at 60 mph at 7400 miles about 5 mos ago. Car suddenly decelerated and went into l gear and slowed down like out of gas. I had to put it back into drive. Then when pulling out of driveway upon acceleration at 11000 miles. Again same thing. 2 weeks later putting into reverse when starting car made awful crunching and popping sound like ran over something.…

We purchased a 2010 ford edge because of the safety tests of these vehicles. It has since developed a delay in take off about twice per month. It is almost like the transmission is not engaged, then violently engages and lurches the vehicle forward. Last month a car had to slam it's brakes to avoid hitting my wife and children as the car delayed, and before my wife could get on the brake, it engaged and lurched the…

I purchased my 2010 ford edge the first week of may 2011. Within three days i noticed that the vehicle would accelerate suddenly, and the rpm would jump from 1500 to 3500, then back again. This happened several times. I called the dealership where i purchased the vehicle, and they stated i could take it to any ford service dept. I did just that and was told nothing was wrong with the vehicle. When i went to retrieve…

My wife and i bought a 2010 ford edge limited in march of 2010. Since that time we have had several occurrences of the transmission not going into gear when pressing the accelerator from a dead stop or the transmission going in and out of gear very rough (slamming in or out) during different speeds. Have taken it into a ford dealership and they say they can't find or reproduce the problem, yet it continues to happen…

Purchased a 2010 ford edge sel awd on july 27, 2009. On august 12, 2009, vehicle began bellowing smoke from the wheel wells. Brought the vehicle in for service to be told that the ptu seal was blown. They replaced the seal and installed a deflector so as to not be able to smell the burning fluid as quickly.
