As we slowly backed out of our garage, we looked up and saw a long crack in the sunroof. We remembered reading in consumer reports (dec. 2017) that larger sunroofs have shattered and the article specifically mentioned ford edge. The sunroof of my car cracked. I keep my car in a garage and do not drive it to work as i am retired. Nothing fell on my car or hit my car. Known problem with many ford edge power rear lift gates. The power gate will not operate with remote, interior release, or exterior release buttons. Also, cannot be released from inside either. Potentially, trapping someone in rear storage and unable to get out. Vehicle was stationary anywhere at any given time.

The driver's power window inexplicably and suddenly fails to operate. As a result, the driver's window will fail to open, close or quit operating leaving the window partially open/close. This problem occurs when the vehicle is in motion or stationary . . . . Anywhere/anytime.
