Known problem with ford edge based on numerous complaints. Driver side door ajar sensor goes off crippling door lock mechanism. Not only do lights stay on draining battery but unable to lock door presents safety problem. Ford has a tsb for electrical cleaning but that is not effective over time. Problems repeats itself with only known fix to be door latch replacement.
